We’ve heard the argument for removing the high school from the city’s skyline for years now, but a citywide vote to remove it was held last year and the vote was largely lost by a handful of residents who didn’t want to see it go.
But the city is now considering another proposal to keep it there, according to The Verge.
The plan would replace the existing high school with a new school with more amenities and would cost a few hundred thousand dollars per year, and there’s no indication the proposal will ever get a chance to come to a vote.
The proposal comes from the Parks and Recreation Department, which is tasked with implementing the citywide parkplan, but the city will have to make its own determination on what that plan is going to look like.
