The SEC’s conference title game will be played at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Dec. 6.
This will be the first time the SEC has played at such a venue in a bowl game, the league announced in a statement.
With Georgia and LSU playing in the SEC Championship Game this season, the SEC’s championship game will also be played in Atlanta.
The Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers will play in the New Orleans Bowl, which will be held at Louisiana Tech’s Louisiana-Monroe campus.
Georgia and LSU have played in the Alabama-Mississippi Super Regional.
The first game of the SEC Conference Championship Game will be at the Georgia Dome, which is scheduled to open at 7 p.m.
ESPN’s Chris Low reports that Alabama will face LSU in the title game.
Low also reported that Auburn will face Florida State in the championship game.
