A 5-year-old boy and his family were killed in a fiery crash in a Salisbury, Md., apartment building Tuesday night, authorities said.
Police said the crash happened around 7:20 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 10th Street.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other child was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Police identified the victims as a boy and a girl.
The boy’s name has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
The building is not listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Authorities said the vehicle involved in the crash was a white Ford Crown Victoria.
The incident remains a homicide investigation, Baltimore police said.
In May, a 5-week-old baby boy died in a crash in Baltimore, Md.
The baby, whose name has yet to be released, was in the back seat of a car with a passenger when it rear-ended a van that had been fleeing from police.
Police were able to apprehend the driver.
The case was under investigation and no charges had been filed at the time of publication.

A man was shot and killed in Richmond, Va., after an argument between his son and his mother escalated to gunfire, authorities there said.
The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
